We ventured down to Hailsham today and visited Knockhatch Adventure Park. For those who have never heard of it before, I would highly recommend it, you truly will have a wonderful, family day out. From all sorts of animals including farm animals, Wallabies, Owls, Emu’s and lots more, to water attractions, soft play, crazy golf and an adventure playground, there’s something for everyone.

Launched just this weekend the Lost World Playbarn was the highlight of Bella’s day. Look at that face! She was in absolute awe! The Lost World PlayBarn is just like a scene out of Jurassic Park. There are moving and roaring Dinosaurs, big slides and a fab canopy hanging play area with bridges, tubes and nets.

Even Flo looked impressed by the size of the Brachiosaurus. She stopped gumming her teether for at least 5 seconds, whilst she sat and stared trying to suss it out. Then she started wiggling like a worm on a sugar rush, because she wanted to get out of the pram and get a better look around. The Lost PlayBarn was also a welcoming relief from the sweltering sunshine.

We had lunch at the Hungry Toad Cafe, where there is also a brilliant soft play area. Bella really enjoyed herself and didn’t stop running around. After both girls had stuffed their faces, Flo joined in on the fun and loved the ball pit. Be warned, do not bring your own food into this cafe (baby food excluded) as you will be asked to leave. We witnessed this happen today.

Bella had a close encounter with an Owl named Willow. She almost plucked up the courage to stroke her but Mummy had to do it instead. Don’t forget to pack swimming costumes! The Pirates Cove have a fun paddling pool area and water cannons.

As you can see, you really are spoilt for choice! We were going to take a walk on Eastbourne beach, but both the girls passed out in their car seats by the time we got to the seafront (always a sign of a good day out), so we took a slow ride home and popped into our friends so that Bella could see her bestie Elsie. Knockhatch Adventure Park really was a perfect way to spend Bank Holiday Monday. Hope you’ve all enjoyed yourself!
